He had a name. He had safety. He had a sponsor.
Morgan died before he ever got to see the new Sanctuary. But because of his sponsor, his last weeks had a name on them: fed, safe, too scared to be held. That's what sponsorship buys: not a guarantee, but a warm place between the street and whatever comes next.

The sanctuary costs more than £5,000 a month to run.
Food and medication, staff costs, vet visits, spaying, building repairs, the daily care of the dogs. We name the number openly because donors deserve specifics. Sponsorship and regular monthly or one-off donations are the only thing that makes it predictable.
Food & care
Covers the Sanctuary Guardian and the local team who feed and walk the dogs every day.
Food & meds
Daily meals for ~50 dogs. Routine medication. Supplements. Worming. Tick treatment.
Vet visits
Emergency surgery, x-rays, the long-term care cases that don't fit anywhere else.
Spay & neuter
Every dog at the sanctuary, every dog rescued from the street. Rolling cost.
Building & repair
Kennel maintenance, fencing, the truck, water, electric. Romania weather is brutal.
If you all sacrificed the price of a coffee and donated instead, we would smash this target.
Choose a dog. Choose an amount. Your support starts today.
Every dog here can be sponsored. Some are long-term residents and will never leave. Some will be lucky enough to be adopted and find their forever home. Whatever their future journey, your sponsorship keeps them safe, loved, fed, and cared for in Crivatu.

A certificate and regular photos
A certificate of sponsorship when you sign up, then a real photo of your dog at a minimum every couple of months. Not a stock image, not a generic newsletter.
First to know
If something big happens: a recovery, a decline, the sad ones. Sponsors hear before anyone else.
Cancel any time
It's a Direct Debit. One click in your account, no awkward email, no questions asked.
Things people ask before they sign up.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Sponsorship is a Direct Debit, set up via Zeffy. You can cancel from your account in one click, no questions asked.
If you want to pause for a month or change your tier, that's also fine. Email us and we'll sort it.
Can I sponsor more than one dog?+
Yes. Some sponsors do, usually because they fell in love with a particular dog and later wanted to add a second. Each sponsorship is a separate Direct Debit, so you can stop one without affecting the other.
What happens if my sponsored dog dies?+
We'll tell you, by email, before anyone else hears it. Then we'll ask whether you'd like to: stop your sponsorship, or transfer it to another sanctuary dog of your choice. There's no pressure to continue.
Morgan had a sponsor when he died. The hardest emails we send are the ones that say a sponsored dog has gone. But they're also the ones that prove the system worked. That dog had a name, safety, and somebody who cared specifically about them.
Does my dog know I'm their sponsor?+
Honestly? No. The dog has no idea. Catalin and the sanctuary team know. The small notebook on the office wall in Crivatu has every sponsor's name in it next to their dog. It's old-fashioned and we like it that way.
Give to the whole sanctuary.
From £5 a month through Zeffy. A small, steady kindness that becomes part of everything we do, for every dog, not just one.
